Advisory Services
If you’re thinking of becoming a writer, starting a novel or non-fiction book, considering publishing something you’ve already written, or indeed have any other query about the literary world, you may well find our Advisory Service very useful. It could save you a great deal of time, trouble and money.
Our Advisory Service is similar in many ways to our Mentoring Service and starts as does that, with a free no-obligation online chat (either Zoom or Microsoft Teams), but for the Advisory Service, the discussion is far more wide-ranging.
Whereas for the Mentoring Service, the client has usually already decided to write a book and will have a reasonably good idea of what they are going to write, e.g. novel, a book about orchids, cookery book, etc., with the Advisory Service we find that clients have only decided to write something, or are even just exploring whether to write or not.
Often they just want someone to ask questions of rather than trying to work out what's what and how things operate in the literary world using search engines. If this sounds like you, why not contact us and book a chat - we will give you about 20 minutes to half an hour for free and that might be enough to get your mind straight on whether writing is something you want to do or not, and if so what type of book you should have a go at writing.
Although we sometimes find that we make little out of this initially, we often find that people who take us up on this offer will come back to us for mentoring (once they have decided what they want to write) or for editing (if they are more confident and dive straight in themselves) so for us a business it is well worth giving a little free guidance.
The first session (about 20 mins or so ) is completely free and without any obligation. Additional sessions are £25 per hour.
So, if you're thinking of starting out in writing but want a little friendly advice, why not get in touch and have a chat?
